Back in Maryland... So, ok. My name is Laura. I tried this ages ago, and figured I'd try it again. I moved to Maryland from Philadelphia about a year ago, although I was born in DC and lived in southern Maryland when I was a kid. I graduated from Temple University with a degree in poli sci. I'm one of those people who still wants to save the world, I'm just not sure how to go about doing that just yet. I recently got hired to work with the Department of Juvenile Services for the state, and I pierce on the side. I'm not some size 00 heroin chic supermodel type - I've got curves and I love them. I have quite a few tattoos, and am no where near done - so that has to be ok with you. I also have 14 piercings, and have been doing alternative modeling for about 2 years now. I've been published 3 times in the Philly/NJ scene, and have made a few appearances in the DC/Baltimore area since moving back. That being said, my career is something i take very seriously. I'm super goal oriented, but I also save time to make sure I can have a life and be social. I love love love ska music, but I'm also super into a few hardcore bands, acoustic anything, old school punk, and even a lot of pop punk (not gonna lie.) I've always said I was born in the wrong decade, and would dress like a 50's pin up girl every day if I could. I'm super sarcastic, so if you get your feelings hurt really easily, I'm probably not the girl for you. If you can dish it back at me, we'll be soul mates. I do smoke ciggs, so that has to be ok. I really love: randomly driving, my dogs (one's a german shepard/jindo mix, the other is a pug), my family, going to shows and feeling like I'm 15, gus with tattoos and gauged ears (instant way to melt me.), and people with passion. Really, it can be a passion for anything - just as long as you're passionate about SOMETHING. I really don't know what else to say, and I feel like I just wrote the most pretentious novel ever. Awesome.
