Hi, I am Gareth. I am mid thirties (still, just), reasonably intelligent, kind of entertaining, not irredeemably evil. Actually, I am kind of a nice guy, interested in almost anything and a decent conversationalist.

I am tall, have all my own teeth, hair and limbs and have been told that I am "not hideous". High praise indeed. I preened for hours afterwards.

I enjoy all the things that you are supposed to write in these things to appear interesting ("Japanese Noh theatre reinterpretations of Musicals? Where do I sign up?"), honest. Well, I like the idea of most of them, beaches at sunset and all. Not sure about rock climbing, not too good with heights, but will try anything once except Morris Dancing.

Things that I KNOW I like include theatre, museums, cinema, many and varied sorts of music (mostly those forms that use actual instruments though) and surprisingly helping and opinionating on clothes shopping trips.

Am I a person worth knowing? I have always felt its kind of arrogant to assume that I am, people tell me I am and most of my friends are long term friends, so I sort of believe them.

Oddly, the only thing I am consistently intolerant of is intolerance. Oh, and wilfully believing in something that is patently unlikely.

Oh, and it should be compulsory to read Christopher Brookmyre.

So, I am getting a little embarrassed about writing "I", so I shall leave it there for the moment.
